From beating the Monday blues with top notch Batista blends ☕, "working from home" weekdays 💻, post-workout recovery from the onsite CrossFit 🏋️& Yoga studio 🧘‍♂️, chilling out over a warm cuppa tea while getting a haircut 💇‍♀️, or simply kicking off the weekend with their signature brekkie 🥐, Barmhatig is THE place to be. Great atmosphere with the best mellow beats and soulful tunes 🎶, we're talking about epic vibes here guys! To top this up, super cozy space and sunny (Dutch weather permits) views over the water and Java eiland 🌊. Last but not least, you know it's all about the people - amazing staff to cater your daily caffeine, carbs and banter needs 🦸🤹🏻‍♂️. Oh! Did I mention? I don’t understand why people say it’s difficult to find. At the bottom of the staircase you can already feel the scent of fresh pastries pulling you up there. Hard to resist. Super friendly dudes and an unexpected quite big space as well. Ran out of decaf that day. Too popular I guess. Lovely place nevertheless, with a nice view over the water.

Tasty coffee and very interesting place. You can enjoy your coffee with a perfect latte art having a view over the river. Also, you can get a haircut with a view here, which makes this place quite authentic!

Loved this spot! Excellent coffee and service with a beautiful view of the river. Did have a little trouble finding the place as it's upstairs rather than on the street, but not a big deal. Would 100% recommend.

Super cozy atmosphere with great coffee and fantastic eats. Everything is baked in house and they have vegan options as well. The view over the water is incredible and the music is always spot on. It's a great place to remote work or catch up with friends.

A cozy café with limited laptop-friendly seating, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The light roast coffee I had was incredibly flavorful, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful coffee break.

We had breakfast twice at the café. You get fresh stuff there: the juices were freshed and made to order. The pastries were still in the oven when we got there on the second day. The cinnamon huns were delicious and so was the banana bread. Great coffee too and very friendly staff. I wish I lived in Amsterdam so I could go there more often.

Located on the first floor, this place offers a nice view and good coffee. I only tried the cold brew as they couldn't make filter at the time, but it was very good and I believe the filter won't disappoint either. The pain au chocolat was well made as well, definitely worth trying.
